Use Saved Information (recommended)
When you click to create a new Stripe Account you should first be presented with the option to use saved details (as long as you are using the same email as the existing Stripe Account):
Please click to use the saved information if this is still correct, as this allows you to skip uploading supporting documents for account verification. Once you have done this, your new Stripe account set up will be complete.
Stripe will ask for the industry your business is associated with. We suggest selecting 'Other Educational Services' under the Education section, but please feel free to select another industry should this be more applicable.
If the option to use saved information does not appear, you can click the 'Create a new business' option and follow the instructions below.
Create a New Business
You can create a new account by selecting the 'Create a new business' option, then click continue.
From here, you will be asked to input your business location and type:
You will then be asked for personal details, such as your name, address and contact details:
Once this is complete you will be asked for more details about your business, such as the industry you operate within and the products offered.
Stripe will ask for the industry your business is associated with. We suggest selecting 'Other Educational Services' under the Education section, but please feel free to select another industry should this be more applicable.
You will then need to enter your bank information in order to receive payouts:
Then, you can add descriptors for your services, so customers can easily see from their bank statements what they have paid for:
At this point you can opt to donate a % of your earnings to climate change, please click 'no thanks' if you would not like to proceed with this. You will also be given the option to opt into Stripe Tax monitoring, should this be applicable.
Finally, you will be able to review all details provided and click 'Agree and Submit'.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need to create a new account?
This is because we're upgrading our infrastructure in order to take advantage of new features and functionality, and we're unable to connect customer accounts created prior to this upgrade. We'll eventually be unable to support any of these older accounts.
How will this affect my payments?
Your payments will not be affected by this. You will not lose historical data from your old account and there will be no disruption to your payments.
How do I switch my accounts?
You do not have to do anything on your end. We connect your new Stripe account to your system and will let you know when this is happening and once it is complete. This will be a seamless process undertaken by our internal team, so you can carry on as normal.
Will this affect other platforms connected to my Stripe account?
You will still be able to access the Stripe account your ClassForKids account was connected to previously, so if you have other systems/software feeding into this account this will not affect those.
