SMS is a great way to get in touch with parents and carers, your key messages go straight to their phone and push for immediate action.

There are two types of SMS available through the ClassForKids system and you can turn these on/off from the SMS section of your settings page:

SMS Invoicing

Text messages are sent to parents and carers every time a booking confirmation, auto-enroll confirmation or invoice (Including to set up a subscription or update subscription details) is sent by the club.

You can turn it on at anytime from your settings page under the SMS section.

We have found year on year more invoices are paid by text than by email.

Premium SMS

Please note: The premium SMS feature is currently only available in the UK and Ireland.

Our premium SMS feature lets clubs send custom SMS to parents and carers from the contacts or schedule page, within a 160-character limit.

These are great for class cancellations or emergencies, as well as reminders and updates as they have higher open rates when compared to emails.

These messages are charged at 6p per SMS, and are invoiced as part of your monthly ClassForKids payment.

You can send custom SMS messages from your Schedule, Register, Child's Profile and Contacts section.

The Schedule

From the schedule page, click the checkboxes on the left side of the classes to select the contacts from these classes.

Then click 'Send Messages or Export'

This will generate a list of these contacts and from this page, click 'Send custom SMS' to begin composing the message -

The system will show the total cost of sending any SMS based on the amount of contacts this is being sent to, and you will have to confirm this before proceeding.
