Who are ClassForKids?

ClassForKids are a booking platform, with thousands of clubs using our software for their kid's activity club.

As a parent, your main relationship is with the club you have booked with. Any questions regarding bookings and payments should be directed to the club runners.

However, ClassForKids have strived to ensure that booking and paying for classes is as easy as possible.

We also aim to support you with navigating your account and within this guide, you can view an overview of all areas within your ClassForKids account.


What is a Subscription Payment?

Subscriptions are a payment method which allows clubs to split the cost of their classes into smaller monthly sums to make this more affordable and convenient for you.

Payment is taken on the 1st of every month and is charged automatically once you have entered your card details and subscribed.

Subscriptions use a recurring card payment rather than a direct debit. When setting up your subscription, you will enter your card details rather than using your sort code and account number.

This choice was made to put you at ease if your payment fails. The subscription will be retried again on the 4th and 9th of the month.

This will not affect your credit score.


Important Information about Your Subscription

If you have a subscription with a club on the ClassForKids platform, it's important to know the following:

  • A subscription is connected to one club. If you have set up subscriptions with multiple clubs, these will be taken as individual payments to each club.

  • All subscription payments are charged on the 1st of the month, these will be retried on the 4th and the 9th of the month, if necessary.

  • Subscriptions are not a direct debit. To cancel your subscription, please get in contact with the club running the sessions.

  • Clubs may have a cancellation period regarding the subscription. Please review the terms and conditions available on the club's booking page.


Setting up Your Subscription

You can view how to book into subscription classes from here.

If you have not made set up the subscription when booking in, or have been booked in by the club themselves, you can do this by:

  • Accessing your booking confirmation or invoice email

    Within the email, click the green 'Set up Payment' button to be taken to the club's payment page.

  • Accessing SMS Invoice (if the club have sent this out)

    From the SMS, click on the URL to be taken to the payment page.

  • Accessing your 'Parent Dashboard' > 'Bookings and Payments' > clicking 'Set up Payment' next to the outstanding payment.


On the payment page, click 'Add New Payment Method' and enter in your card details:


This will then add your card to the page. Then click 'Subscribe' -

Once you click 'Subscribe,' this will open up an in-app browser.

From here, click 'Continue with my app' to proceed:

Once you see the above, please check your phone for a notification.

You should receive a notification to approve the subscription on your banking app:


When you access your banking app, click 'Approve'

Your subscription will then be approved:

If you don't receive the notification, please try processing the payment again on a computer/ laptop (if possible) and opening up your banking app to approve this manually.

If you are still having trouble, please get in touch with your bank as your account may not be set up for this kind of payment.


How to Manage Your Subscription Payment

You can update your bank card by:

Logging into your account here - https://account.classforkids.io

Clicking onto 'Monthly Class Payments'

then 'My Monthly Payments'

From there, you can change the card connected to the subscription payment:

What happens if my card fails on the 1st of the month?

If your card fails on the 1st of the month, the payment will be retried on the 4th and the 9th of the month.

You will receive an email to let you know about this. Within the email, you can click 'Update Details' if you need to change your payment details.

You can also click the 'Update Details' button if you want to make the payment before this is retried.

This section can also be accessed by Clicking onto 'Monthly Class Payments' > 'My Monthly Payments' as shown above.

From here, you can pay for any failed payment with the card of your choice:


FAQ

I have been placed on a temporary plan, what does that mean?

You can only have one subscription per club, so if you book into multiple subscription classes for one or more children, you will be placed onto a temporary plan.

This plan is only temporary and the club will update your subscription plan to reflect the price for your bookings. You will be notified when the club updates your plan.


A covering payment has been added to my payment, what does this mean?

If you book into subscription classes mid-month, your first payment will not be taken until the 1st of the following month.

The club may add a covering payment to charge for any classes your child has attended before the 1st of the month.


I have a discount code, can I use this?

Currently, discount codes cannot be applied to subscription payments.

If the club have offered you a discount code for your subscription, please get in touch with the club running the sessions for more information.


Can I pay for the subscription payment using bank transfer/ cash etc.?

All subscription payments are made automatically through our payment provider, Stripe.

These payments cannot be collected using another method as the system will not record this payment against your subscription and this will still show as outstanding.


How do I cancel my subscription?

As ClassForKids are only the platform where bookings can be made, only the club will be able to cancel your subscription.
