Below you will find answers to our Frequently Asked Questions surrounding the Stripe Migration:

Why is an upgrade required for my Stripe account?

The acquisition of ClassForKids by The Access Group has strengthened our security infrastructure, ensuring a robust foundation for sustained growth. As part of this continued drive for world-class security standards and payments excellence, we’re enhancing our service by integrating with a new and improved version of Stripe, powering both ClassForKids and your business to be better than ever!

Upgrading your connected Stripe account is essential to maintain seamless payment processing and benefit from enhanced stability and protection, positioning your business for long-term success.

My subscriptions page looks different, how do I manage this on the new interface?

This guide walks you through how to set up and manage subscriptions on the new interface step by step.

Why have all my subscriptions moved to waiting?

As the subscriptions are starting fresh on the new Stripe account, they will be waiting for their first payment to be taken.

This is normal and won’t affect your payments. Once the first payment has been taken on the new account, payments will move over to ‘Successful,’ as expected.

How can I access the new Stripe account?

If you have used the same email address for both accounts, you can switch between them on the Stripe page:

To do this, click the name of your Stripe account in the top left corner of your Stripe dashboard.

For example -

From there, click the name of your new Stripe account -

Please note, the name for the new account might be the same as your current account (example below) -

This will swap you into the new Stripe account.

If you have used a different email for the new Stripe account, you can log out by clicking the cog icon > 'Sign out'

You will also be able to view all upcoming payouts in the 'Balances' section of your Stripe account, found in the left hand menu -

How can I make sure the Stripe settings on my new account are configured to retry payments in line with ClassForKids’ setup?

Step 1

Log into Stripe using the email address you entered while setting up your club.

Step 2

Once logged in, click on the cog in the top right corner > 'Settings'

From there, access the 'Billing' section

Next, click 'Subscriptions and Emails'

Step 3

From here, make sure the settings match those below -
(Don't forget to click 'save'!)

Now you're all set up! 🎉

Be aware that some payment processing details may change under Stripe. You may notice slight differences in how transactions appear on statements or notifications.

How can I view any outstanding payments from the old Stripe account?

Any outstanding debt for parents who were within the problem section will not transfer during this migration, but can still be viewed and managed in your existing Stripe account.

To do this:

  • Access your old Stripe account, which you can do by clicking the name of your account in the top left corner of your Stripe dashboard > clicking the name of your old account.

    For example -

Please note: If you have used a different email address, you will need to log out and back into your account using the old email.

Once in the old account, click onto your 'Transactions' on the left side -

Then click onto the 'Failed' column -

Next, you can click on the 'Date and Time' filter to view this over a specific period -

Once applied, you can see all outstanding payments and the failure reasons. The payments can also be clicked on from this page to view more details.

To collect the outstanding payment, we would advise adding this on as a covering payment to the parents' next subscription.

This guide goes through how this can be done on the new Subscriptions page!

Can parents still manage their card details and pay for failed payments in their account as usual?

Parents can not only do this, but we have made it even easier for them to do so!

Parents can make a failed payment by:

Logging into their account here - https://account.classforkids.io

Clicking onto 'Monthly Class Payments'

Then onto the subscription for the club:

From there, they would just need to click the ‘Pay Amount Due’ button to make the payment –

From this page, parents can also click the pencil icon next to their current card to update this.

They can also edit the cards stored in their account under 'Payment Methods'

A card can be changed to the default by clicking the three-dot menu next to the card > 'Make Default'

Cards can also be deleted. Please note that this will not cancel the subscription.

TOP TIP

This would be a great time to ask parents to double-check the card they have as the default on their account, and request that they clear out any old/expired cards held for them.

Can I have access to Instant Payouts on the new Stripe account?

As part of our migration to a new Stripe account, additional verification requirements mean instant payouts are no longer available. The reason we are applying these verification steps is to comply with fiscal rules on identity verification, fraud prevention, and financial reporting.

The standard payout timeframe on Stripe is 5-10 days, which reduces to 3 once your account has settled.

If you have any questions about your payouts, please don't hesitate to reach out.
